WORDS FROM WEEZY - Kavalan ClassicI simply cannot think of a better food to pair with a Taiwanese whiskey than a pork belly bao. For those of you who haven't yet experienced the glory of such snack, it's a steamed bun that is stuffed with pork belly that’s been braised in a mixture of a rice wine, soy sauce, and Chinese five-spice powder and topped with crushed peanuts, pickled mustard greens, and cilantro. The sweetness of the pork picks up a bit of the vanilla in the whiskey and it is a serious match made in heaven.
